Our Awards and Associations and What They Mean

This logo and designation means that we are part of AAA's Approved Auto Repair Network.  We are one of 151 auto facilities across Arizona to hold this designation.  To qualify we had to meet more than 20 standards including:

  • Providing a list of 200 customers to be surveyed on the shop’s service
  • Staffing Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified technicians
  • Providing a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on repair work
  • Agreeing to binding arbitration if there is a dispute with an AAA member
  • Annual inspection by AAA

In addition to being an AAR Facility, we have been awarded the AAA Top Shop of Arizona Award for 2001-2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, which has been every year since the awards inception.  To be considered for this prestigious award, we have to adhere to the more than 20 standards mentioned above and:

  • Maintain customer surveys with at least a 90 percent approval rating
  • Be actively involved in the community through service groups and charities
  • Uphold an exemplary business reputation

Our designation of a NAPA Auto Care Center allows us to give you peace of mind.  Besides being able to offer you quailty parts and availability, through our partnership with NAPA we are able to provide you with a 12 month  - 12,000 mile nationwide warranty.   We understand how important that is to our customers, whether you are traveling in Green Valley, Tucson, or even NJ - WE HAVE YOU COVERED!

To quote NAPA directly:

"NAPA AutoCare is designed with today's consumers in mind. NAPA knows that a primary concern by many consumers is to find a reputable repair business that performs quality work and at a fair price.

NAPA AutoCare is not a franchise, but rather, a quality standard where independent repair business owners are invited to join based upon their community reputation, integrity, qualifications and expertise.

Wherever your travels may take you, as well as right within your community, you'll find a NAPA AutoCare Center that can professionally take care of all your vehicle needs."

Automotive Service Association.  This organization serves as an advocate to both consumers as well as service professionals.  For service professionals, it keeps us up to date on legislation regarding our industry,  provides us with invaluable information for our technicians, and gives us access to other shop owners and techs.

For the consumer, it requires us to adhere to the ASA Code of Ethics:

"The owners and managers of automotive service businesses that belong to the Automotive Service Association (ASA) agree to adhere to a Code of Ethics. ASA's Code of Ethics is the automotive service industry's standard for professional business practices.

To perform high quality repair service at a fair and just price.

To use only proven merchandise of high quality distributed by reputable firms.

To employ the best skilled technicians obtainable.

To furnish an itemized invoice for fairly priced parts and services that clearly identifies any used or remanufactured parts. Replaced parts may be inspected upon request.

To have a sense of personal obligation to each customer.

To promote good will between the motorist and members of the association.

To recommend corrective and maintenance services, explaining to the customer which of these are required to correct existing problems and which are for preventive maintenance.

To offer the customer a price estimate for work to be performed.

To furnish or post copies of any warranties covering parts or services.

To obtain prior authorization for all work done, in writing, or by other means satisfactory to the customer.

To notify the customer if appointments or completion promises cannot be kept.

To maintain customer service records for one year or more.

To exercise reasonable care for the customer's property while in our possession.

To maintain a system for fair settlement of customer's complaints.

To cooperate with established consumer complaint mediation activities.

Automotive Service Excellence.  In our situation the meaning is two-fold.  Not only do we employ ASE Certified Technicians, our shop has been recognized by the Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program. To quote ASE, having our repair facility be part of the Excellence Program allows ASE to "offer a recognition opportunity for highly qualified repair facilities, which allows them to showcase their technicians and their commitment to excellence. It is a recognition program for businesses striving to be the best, and willing to prove their commitment.

For the technicians,  ASE tests technicians on their individual knowledge of repair.  Each area of expertise is tested separately, for example there is one for the brakes, one for engine repair, one for heating and air-conditioning, etc.   There are 8 tests and certifications available for automobile technicians, not including the tests for diesel or medium/heavy truck suspension, or advanced level.  Once a technician has passed 8 of the tests, they are designated as an ASE Certified Master Technician.  All techs have to recertify every 5 years for any of the certifications they hold.
